About Revelstoke Resort

Revelstoke Mountain Resort sits on Mount Mackenzie in the Monashee and Selkirk Mountain Ranges in southeastern British Columbia.

Revelstoke offers 3,121 acres of lift-served skiable terrain, with a vertical drop of 1,713 metres (5,620 feet). The resort has the largest continuous lift-accessed vertical descent in North America.

Snowfall and Conditions at Revelstoke

Revelstoke receives an average annual snowfall of approximately 10.5 metres (about 34 feet). The level of snowfall, combined with the mountain’s steep vertical and varied terrain, often results in deep powder, especially after major storms.

As with any big-mountain resort, conditions can vary widely between top and base elevations, especially during storm cycles or freeze-thaw conditions. Check the current weather in Revelstoke here.

Winter at Revelstoke

Winter at Revelstoke is defined by big-mountain, high-alpine skiing, and long continuous fall-line descents. With the most vertical in North America, the mountain offers extended top-to-bottom runs, including the 15.2 km “Last Spike,” one of the longest lift-served runs on the continent.

The terrain at Revelstoke is built around steep lines, glades, and expansive bowls.

Advanced skiers will find challenging features in areas such as North Bowl, while intermediates can explore moderate terrain off The Ripper Chair.

Beginners have access to gentle, groomed trails on lower-mountain terrain.

For those seeking backcountry-style experiences, the resort is a jumping-off point for guided heli- and cat-skiing operations from third party tour companies. These offerings provide access to extensive terrain beyond the lift-served footprint.

Winter Activities at Revelstoke Mountain Resort: Skiing and Snowboarding, Private and Group Lessons for Adults and Kids, Nordic/Cross-Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Heli-Skiing, Cat-Skiing, Snowmobile Touring, Backcountry Touring

Summer at Revelstoke

Summer operations at Revelstoke kick off in June with lift-served downhill mountain biking and hiking off the Revelation Gondola. From here, mountain bikers have two options: take any number of technical flowy trails through the Revelstoke Bike Park back to base, or climb further into the alpine to experience the full vertical drop of 5,620 feet via the Fifty-Six Twenty trail.

Beyond two wheels, you can experience the downhill thrill on the Pipe Monster Coaster, a high-speed driver-controlled coaster that can reach speeds as fast as 41km (25 m) as you coast through glades and even a tunnel.

The family-friendly ropes course is another popular attraction, offering 50 different beginner, intermediate, and advanced obstacles involving climbing, jumping, swinging, and free-falling.

Summer Activities at Revelstoke Mountain Resort: Mountain Biking, Lessons and Clinics, Mountain Coaster, Scenic Chairlift Rides, Disc Golf, Hiking, Alpine Coaster, Rope Course, Tandem Paragliding

Getting Around Revelstoke

Getting around by car is common, both for arriving at the resort and for staying in town rather than on-mountain. The village is small and easy to navigate on foot, with a handful of restaurants, services, and lodging properties located around the gondola.

The nearby town of Revelstoke is a popular tourist destination, so you’ll find all manner of retail, entertainment, and dining options here.

The resort is about 10 minutes by car from town. A shuttle connects the two, and schedules vary by season, with more frequent service during winter. Your accommodation might offer a private shuttle service as well.

Taxis and ride-share companies operate here as well.

What’s New at Revelstoke Mountain Resort

For 2025, Revelstoke continued expansion of their summer offerings: lift-serviced mountain biking, hiking, and cross-country trails as they aim to build Revelstoke’s identity as a four-season destination.
