If you are looking for a ski town within the Canadian Rockies, Banff is the place. The views of all will amaze you whether you come winter or summer! Lots of lodging options ranging from hotel style rooms to condos throughout the town. There is a huge variety of restaurants to choose from ranging in price. If you like sushi I recommend the Sushi House. It is a small restaurant that has been around for many years that still uses a model train around the bar to serve sushi to guest. I also dined at the well known Canadian chain, The Keg, which was delicious. Although Banff does tend to be more popular in the summer, there are three ski resorts conveniently located within a 40 minute drive. If you have a valid ticket you can use the free ski shuttle that will take you to all three resorts from town. If you are flying, you would have to land in Calgary and then drive or take a shuttle to Banff.

Banff was a clear surprise when we got there. It is such a historic town surrounded by nothing but beauty. Our stay there was nothing but spectacular.

I would recommend anyone visit Banff at least once in their lifetime. It is an incomparable experience.
