Snowmass is just as fantastic as you've heard. Not only is it a stunning mountain, it's well laid out, with plenty of slopeside lodging, and lots of great restaurants to try. The village is very cute, and there are free s'mores at 3:30 pm each day, which you get to roast around open fire pits.
I took a full-day lesson and was flying down the mountain by the end of the day! The Elk Camp learning area is lots of fun, and big enough to get in some good turns on a wide-open, gentle run before hopping on the chairlift back to the top. The instructors were all fantastic and encouraging. It felt more like a guided tour with helpful techniques and tips shared by the instructor.
I can't wait to visit Snowmass again and hope to bring my kid here in the future.
