The complimentary shuttle will take you anywhere in Snowmass. It is a 3 min ride to ski school/ base village where you will go to rent skis and join lessons. Or you can ski directly from Chamonix to the Elk Camp Gondola lift. It’s also only 3-4 min ride to the grocery store (liquor store next door). The kitchen is well appointed with dishes but you will need to go get coffee and laundry detergent if you are staying for more than one day. Only once did we wait for more than 5 min for the shuttle. You can also catch any number 2 bus and they will bring you to Chamonix. We had daily housekeeping services - and I’ll mention the towels were very plush and soft. We stayed in unit #54. It comes as advertised. With sweeping Mountain Views from each bedroom and the ability to watch skiing all day long from the warmth of the condo.
If you don’t mind taking a shuttle to base village or you are able to ski out directly to gondola then this property is perfect for you.
We enjoyed our stay and will likely stay at Chamonix again. If you arrive late you may want to consider grocery delivery. We did not do this and were scrambling day 1 to get our kids fitted with skis and signed up for ski school/ lift tickets etc and grab them some breakfast. We ended up getting up early and had no issues arriving at The Treehouse at 8am and took the Skittles gondola up to the Snowmass Mall for a yummy quick bite at Fuel. We made it back just in time to get the kids lined up for ski school. Other mornings were less rushed after we got some breakfast essentials at the grocery store.
Only other issue we encountered were some the TVs in the bedrooms did not work properly. I did not even alert the staff because we didn’t come to Colorado to watch tv but it’s worth mentioning. Overall it’s a great location and the rooms were very clean.

About Chamonix
Chamonix condo rental accommodations are located in Snowmass Village on Assay Hill, offering excellent ski-in, ski-out access. Each exquisitely decorated condo offers a fully equipped kitchen along with a washer/dryer, WiFi and wood-burning fireplace. Many units feature unique solariums with abundant natural lighting and spectacular slope side views. Interior elevators access individual units. Accommodations are individually owned and uniquely decorated. Chamonix guests enjoy secure underground parking facilities.
