The Lodging Company offers so much more than employment. RESERVATIONS

The Lodging Company specializes in arranging custom ski vacations for people from all over the world. We work with the best resorts and property management companies, which allows us to remain at the top of our industry. Our agents need to be driven, organized, and have great interpersonal skills. Our bookings are done over the phone, but we don't do any cold calling; our customers come to us through either our online presence or word-of-mouth – which means that we have a large number of repeat clients. Sales Agent

Purpose:

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all inbound phone calls and website generated leads by actively listening and quickly identifying customer's needs. Since much of the work is done over the phone, agents need to have a pleasant phone voice and a professional but friendly attitude. Agents must be aware of all company policies, rates, events and promotions.

Responsibilities and Accountability:
  • Act as a representative of the Company and upsell and promote all extra services that TLC offers from time to time. ex. Lift tickets, Travel Insurance, Shuttles, etc.
  • Respond to calls and emails while maintaining standards provided and with an appropriate level of efficiency and sales technique.
  • Effectively listen to clients and understand their needs.
  • Provide appropriate reservations and/or booking solutions with a friendly and personalized approach. Process payments where required.
  • Proper logging of information on calls received and maintenance of detailed and accurate internal records.
  • Be able to transform telephone and email inquiries about accommodations into bookings and future business where available.
  • Process reservations and accurately enter them into the reservation system provided.
  • Resolve issues for customers even if they are not their clients.
  • Councel clients on terms and conditions of travel e.g. cancellation policies.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the Management team.
Position Requirements:
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
  • Must have a passion for sales. Experience in sales is a definite asset.
  • Must be able to learn and adapt quickly in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Previous experience in customer service is required, preferably in hotel reservations or front desk environment.
  • Must have an excellent command of the English language.
  • A second language is an asset.
  • Above average computer skills are required.
  • Be flexible with work schedule and shifts which will include weekends and holidays and varying work hours.
  • Well organized and have strong decision making abilities.
  • Patience and Empathy: Reservation agents might have to deal with confused or irate customers.
Education Requirements:
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college or university training is an asset.
  • Courses in computers, languages and communications are an asset.
  • Certified Travel Asociate (CTA) or Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) designation is a definite asset.

CONTENT

Content is very important in the online sales industry. Customers like to see the property they will be staying at and view resort features and amenities. Our Content Coordinators are responsible for updating and maintaining property photos and descriptions, as well as staying on top of renovations, changes, and new buildings. They assist with website maintenance, and help out with various tasks around the office when needed. Applicants must also be confident in solo and group projects as there are many projects that require different departments to work together. The team projects and solo projects will be happening at the same time, so good time management and great organizational skills are crucial. Other qualities you'll want to have are strong computer and communication skills, photo editing software experience, and the ability to have your ideas/work critiqued in a group setting.

Content Coordinator

Job Requirements:
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
    • You need to be a self-starter.
  • Strong team player as well as steady in individual projects.
    • You will be an important part of many projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • You will be communicating through email and phone calls.
  • Strong and current computer experience.
    • Proficient with editing software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Minimum education: high school diploma.
    • Post-secondary education an asset.
  • Flexible to work various shifts depending on the company’s needs.
    • We are open 364 days a year.
  • Be able to help out with IT and other office related tasks.
  • Greeting visitors and answering company calls.
Your Qualifications:
  • Have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
    • You must be able to see projects through to completion.
  • Have great time management skills to balance a varied workload.
    • There are any number of projects being worked on at the same time; you must be able to adjust focus.

ACCOUNTING

The Accounting team plays an integral role in driving the success of our company. This position requires formal education within the accounting field. You'll want to have ACCPAC experience with knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The majority of your time will be spent working with fellow coworkers or alone. TLC asks that our Accounting team is flexible to work various shifts depending on the company’s needs, however, the majority of shifts are scheduled during normal business hours.

Accountant

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum grade 12 education plus post-secondary education in a related field of study.
  • Training in courses certified by the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, Canadian Securities Institute, or the Canadian Bookkeepers Association would be an asset.
  • Experience in Sage programs with knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Flexible to work various shifts depending on the company’s needs.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Here at The Lodging Company we know that a great website is crucial to maintain a strong online presence. If you have training in programming and the computer sciences, you will appreciate the freedom offered in our IT Department. Our developers are constantly working to improve the user's experience, so there will always be the opportunity to enhance our systems. IT Department — Developer

Job Requirements:
  • Must have post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Programming, or other comparable program.
    • Equivalent experience will be considered.
