Not sure if a restaurant is open, or if reservations are required? It's always best to call the restaurant directly to find out. Don't worry, we've listed the phone numbers, addresses, and village locations below each restaurant.

Overview of Sun Peaks Restaurants

Most restaurants at Sun Peaks Resort are located in the pedestrian village, which keeps things convenient as you’re never far from your hotel, the lifts, or your next reservation.

A few restaurants can be found at the base of Burfield Quad, which is about a 5-minute drive from the village down Sun Peaks Road, or a 15-20 minute walk through the lit Valley Walk trail.

Overall, the dining atmosphere at Sun Peaks skews relaxed and approachable, with a few standout spots that offer a more refined experience when the occasion calls for it.

Fine Dining at Sun Peaks

The Steakhouse

With high-quality Canadian steaks, BBQ ribs, salads, vegetarian options, a kids’ menu (from $15), and desserts, The Steakhouse has an upscale atmosphere that’s a good fit for couples, special occasions, or a final-night dinner splurge.

Prepared by Chef Michard McMillan, the meals are complemented with a well-curated wine list and attentive service. Reservations are strongly recommended at The Steakhouse.

Cahilty Creek Kitchen & Taproom

Cahilty Creek bridges the gap between fine dining and casual comfort, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The taproom roots it firmly in the local scene, while the menu balances elevated dishes like the Fire Roasted Broccolini, Honey Sriracha Brussel Sprouts, and Butternut Squash Ravioli with crowd-pleasing flatbreads and burgers.

With a kids’ menu where everything is $13.50, Cahilty works equally well for a relaxed family dinner or a more social evening with craft beer and cocktails.

Cahilty is also known for its Legendary Après specials, available for dine-in daily from 3pm-5pm, and for its summertime mountain-view patio.

Expect pub-style classics like nachos, wings, burgers, tacos, and plenty of local beers.  The menu features daily drink specials (no time restrictions) and a broad selection of gluten-free and vegetarian options.

The social atmosphere makes it a popular choice for groups and après-ski experiences that can easily turn into dinner without much planning.
