About the Resort

What we know today as Park City Mountain Resort was originally opened in 1963 under the name Treasure Mountain, by the United Park City Mines - the last surviving mining corporation in Park City. It was funded by a federal government program meant to revive the economically depressed town of Park City. Now, it's the largest ski resort in the United States, even going so far as to host the 2002 Winter Olympics and is a main employer for many of Park City's citizens.

Located in the heart of Park City, Utah, Park City Mountain sits at a base elevation of 6,800 feet2,073 metres and offers a total skiable area of 7,300+ feet2,225+ metres. Combine that with 348 trails, 13 bowls, 8 terrain parks and 1 pipe, it makes running out of choices not an option.

While Park City Mountain Resort is the epitome of skiing, the town itself a bustling utopia of never-ending possibilities–stories waiting to be written. Strolling down the historic main street, live music can be heard. Dining ranges from simple “home-made” comfort food to high end exquisite culinary experiences. The vast and dynamic selection of après nightlife has so many choices that one night may consist of sipping wine at a quiet hole-in-the-wall bar, and the next, dancing until sun breaks.

Come to Park City Mountain Resort and experience for yourself what true ski bliss can be.
