It is about a twenty minute walk to the downtown area but we welcomed the peace and quiet of the edge of town location. There is a small shop less than 50 metres from the Dorothy, as well as an A&W restaurant. The motel is administered from the Caribou Lodge which is about 150 metres along Banff Avenue. Staff at the Motel and the Caribou Lodge are both friendly and helpful. We would recommend booking a meal at the Keg Restaurant, housed within the Caribou Lodge.
